Join Kirkland Choral Society and Philharmonia Northwest to experience the power and beauty of Eric Whitacre's The Sacred Veil on May 18th!

Akin to a modern-day Requiem, The Sacred Veil is an honest and deeply moving account of the love story between poet Charles Anthony Silvestri and his wife Julie (both of whom were dear friends of the composer) and of Julie’s tragic cancer diagnosis and death in 2005. Whitacre bravely explores the intense emotional terrain of this poignant journey--a story to which many of us can relate far too well.

You will experience a different side of Eric Whitacre in this extraordinary piece; we hope you are deeply moved by the power and beauty of The Sacred Veil.

Designed and conducted by Dr. Steven Zopfi, one of the three outstanding finalists for the KCS Artistic Director position, this concert will be one you will not soon forget.
